Today is my Red Folder Day. A new step into the future. What it holds for me, I do not know. But I embrace the opportunity, I embrace the adulation, I embrace the challenge, I embrace the respect.
This may create friction. It is undeniable. It is also a known open secret. It was bound to happen.
For now, let us delve into reality. Take one step at a time and not leap into the future.

Where would our society be if it weren’t for the discoveries and theories of Sir Isaac Newton? From mathematics to gravitation, he single-handedly elucidated the enigma of the universe. Influenced numerous intellectuals for the next hundreds of years and even inspired Jobs and Wozniak to name their little company in his honor.
Here is Google’s tribute for his 367th birthday:
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.” – Sir Isaac Newton

Last weekend, the 7th and the 8th, I was working. Doing stat work for the second phase, Validation Interview Phase of the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) Examinations. Third level eligibility for Superintendents and Senior Superintendents of the Philippine National Police to qualify for the next higher rank. (Results to be posted at http://www.napolcom.gov.ph) Excuse our website, lacking web savvy.
After a seven-day straight work week, I badly need some time off. Now, I’m on my second compensatory day-off. The first day-off was nice. Started with a morning wake up call to Abbie, always the best part of my morning. Heavy breakfast: fried rice drenched with Milo mix, hotdogs and sliced ‘footlong’ from Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. A longganisa-type sausage. Excellent, in my opinion. Then I cleaned up after me.
An old friend was getting married in Tagaytay City that day. My brother is one of the groomsmen. Was invited too but my mind and body demands a quality rest. Pass.
After every chore was settled, I logged on. I was terribly anxious on updating my Twitter Lists. Been thinking about classifying everything, even in my sleep! One thing I like about Twitter Lists is that you don’t have to follow everybody, you just follow the list! Sometimes I hate it when some Twitterers flood the live feed, can’t keep up with it. So my aim was to unfollow some users and just place them on a list. I still love them though, but I think it’s more efficient that way.
Afternoon was easy. I slept. Got up around 5pm then showered. Drove thru at Jollibee for dinner: spaghetti and Chicken Joy meal plus extra rice. TV after dinner. I’ve been following DMII. I admit it, I’ve been sort of ‘domesticated’. But it’s nice. True to myself. Haven’t been for awhile. Goodnight call to my fave girl, Abbie. Lights out at 11pm.
Day two, morning wake up call to Abbie. She’s leaving for Cebu City, work stuff, later in the afternoon. Had Tinay and Abbie’s leftovers for breakfast: grilled tuna from Jaemark’s Tuna Grille, luncheon meat and steamed rice drenched with Milo mix. Yummy! Finishing up this blog. Probably, NO, definitely sleep some more in the afternoon.
